Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Widener University Scholarships USA to enrol in eligible programs at the school.

Widener University Scholarships
All candidates are given consideration automatically for academic, merit-based scholarship awards which averages around $100,000 across four years.

Similar to their domestic candidates, international undergraduate candidates can also apply for specialty and talent-based scholarship awards, including:

Open to: undergraduate first year students accepted into the The Honors Program in General Education
How to apply: no isolated application is needed to be given consideration; students are welcome to join The Honor’s Program in General Education on the basis of their high school academic performance.
Scholarship value: up to $2,000 each year for up to 4 years
Bonner Leader (Presidential Service Corps) Scholarships

Open to: Undergraduate students
How to apply: Complete an online application. The deadline to apply is February 15 every year. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Alexandra Garney, Civic Engagement Program Manager, at angarney@widener.edu.
Cover letter (one page, single-spaced): They want to get to know you. Why are you putting in to the program and what makes you a perfect applicant on the basis of your experiences, skill sets, and passions?
Resume (one page): Be sure to include your contact information, activities, awards, and community service experience.
Scholarship amount: $5,000 awarded annually
Scholarships are awarded to students who participate in the Bonner Leaders (Presidential Service Corps) program. Recipients not only graduate with a degree, but also benefit from transferrable workforce skills including 4 years of work experience in the non-profit sector, intensive leadership training, and a passion to make an impact in their local to global communities.

Band Scholarship – Music & Color Guard

Open to: undergraduate students
How to apply: hand in a Music Scholarship award application
Virtual audition requirements:
1. Participate in a short Zoom interview with Dr. Iain Moyer, Director of Athletic Bands.
2. Email imoyer@widener.edu a YouTube link of a Band performance you have participated in.
3. Dr. Moyer will get in touch with your Band Director through email for a short recommendation.
Scholarship amount (Music): $2,000 – $3,000, renewable each year
Scholarship amount (Color Guard): $1,250 fall semester, renewable each year
Keeping Music Scholarship Awards: Candidates are required to take part in band and wind ensemble, and take private lessons.

Esports Scholarship

Open to: incoming new undergraduate students
How to apply: hand in an Esports Scholarship award Application for deliberation
Interview requirements: Short interviews are required in order to be eligible for the scholarship. Please arrange an appointment with Devin Hartnett, Esports Coach at dhartnett@widener.edu. Interviews can be held on campus. If you cannot be at the campus, you may also ask for a remote interview with Coach Hartnett.
Scholarship amount: $1,000 – $5,000, can be renewed each year if criteria are met
