Apart from a general increase of about 50% rate payable by all classes of electricity consumers in the country, PHCN also includes a new monthly fixed charge which cuts across all classes of PHCN electricity customers.
The new PHCN electricity tariff is not a uniform billing system, the rate consumers pay for electricity in Nigeria depends on where they reside in the country.
