Nigeria, Canada Begin Mega Investment Summit In Toronto

Toronto – As part of the efforts to boost their economies and as well ensure the actualisation of the Vision 20:2020, Nigeria and Canada would be holding an Investment Conference which would take place between May 2- 4, 2013, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada’s business capital.

The highly anticipated summit which is co-organised by the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Canadian Council on Africa and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada is designed in line with the vision 20:2020 Economic Transformation Agenda of the government of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The Canada-Nigeria Investment Conference is expected to bring together more than 400 participants from public and private sectors, including government officials of the two countries.

According to the Nigerian High Commission in Canada, Vice President Namadi Sambo would be leading the delegation of the country to the mega summit.

Members of the Namadi Sambo-led delegation include, Dr. Olusegun Aganga, Minister of Trade and Investment, Senator Bala Mohammed, Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Princess Stella Oduah, Minister of Aviation, Ms Ama Pepple, Minister of Lands and Urban Housing, Chief Emeka Nwogu, Minister of Labour and Productivity and Arc. Musa Mohammed Sada, Minister of Mines and Development.
