Popcorn is a snack loved by a lot of people especially little children due to its crunchy and tasty feel when eaten.

Popcorn can be served with chilled bottle of soft drink during birthday parties, in clubs and in the cinema.
With popcorn production you can become your own boss and generate lots of money selling your popcorn to friends, neighbors and shop owners in your area.
To start popcorn production on a small scale, here are the requirements.
STARTUP CAPITAL REQUIRED
At least with N20, 000 you can start producing popcorn and be able to make up to N50, 000monthly or more with increased production.
SPACE. You don’t need to rent a shop; you can produce popcorn at home.
EQUIPMENTS/MATERIALS REQUIRED.
Purchase a locally fabricated popcorn fryer with stirrer for N10, 000. Alternatively you can purchase the electric popcorn fryer if you have enough cash at hand.
Two Big bowls to store the fried popcorn before packaging.
A weighing scale.
Customize nylon for packaging.
Portable electric nylon sealing machine.
Wood stirrer.
Small measuring cup.
INGREDIENT REQUIRED.
Sugar.
Table Salt.
Vegetable Oil.
Dry corn (Popcorn variety).
METHOD.
Heat up the locally fabricated gas or kerosene popcorn fryer and then pour about eight teaspoons of vegetable oil into popcorn frying pot.
Pour the dry corn into the already heated frying pot containing the little quantity of vegetable oil.
Pour some quantity of sugar to taste and cover the frying pot for about 3minute after which you then stir properly to allow the corn pop.
When all the corn in the pot is fully pop, you can then remove it from the fire and allow for cooling before packaging.
PACKAGING.
After the popcorn is cool, measure out 50gs each and pack in the customize nylon. Seal up each 50gs popcorn with the portable electric sealing machine and it’s ready for the market.

Thank you so much. my wife and i are already in the production of popcorn. the business is profitable. i am a civil servant so she handles the business. the problem we have is in the ease of production. we use gas heated pot. do you have professional people who make these machines? do you have them around Ibadan? also we still use labels. printing directly on the nylons here is a bit expensive and not economical at all
